Patrick Dempsey is headed for the single life but it's not his doing ... we've learned his wife has filed for divorce, and 10s of millions are on the line.
Jillian Fink filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable difference. Fink, who is repped by disso queen Laura Wasser, is asking for joint custody of their 3 kids, a 12-year-old girl and 7-year-old twin boys. She also wants spousal and child support.
We've learned they do NOT have a prenup. Patrick is reportedly worth around $40 million.
The couple has been married for 15 years.
Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ ... "it remains to be seen whether it will be amicable."
Sources tell TMZ she's had a problem with his ego for a while now, which she thinks is out of control.
As one source said, "She's all about the kids."
